By accessing or using Yoto Guardian (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. The Service is operated by Coe Code LLC (“CoeCode,” “we,” “us”).
Yoto Guardian is a free web application that provides parental controls and library management for Yoto audio players. It connects to your Yoto account via OAuth to monitor and control your players. Yoto Guardian is an independent product and is not made by, endorsed by, or affiliated with Yoto Ltd.
You must be at least 18 years old to create a Yoto Guardian account. By using the Service, you represent that you are at least 18 years old and have the legal authority to manage the Yoto account you connect.
By linking your Yoto account, you authorize Yoto Guardian to access your Yoto account data (device list, playback status, card library) and send commands to your players (pause, play, day/night mode changes) as needed to operate the features you configure. For account disconnection requests, contact [email protected].
You agree not to:
The library manager allows you to upload audio content to your Yoto family library. You are solely responsible for ensuring you have the rights to upload and use any content. CoeCode does not monitor, review, or take responsibility for uploaded content.
Certain features (such as AI-generated audiobook metadata) rely on third-party AI services (Anthropic, OpenAI). When you use these features, data may be sent to these providers using your configured API key, or via Yoto Guardian-provided access when available. CoeCode is not responsible for third-party AI providers' processing of your data. Review each provider's terms and privacy policy before use.
Yoto Guardian depends on Yoto's cloud infrastructure. We cannot guarantee uninterrupted service if Yoto's systems experience downtime or API changes. We provide the Service “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind. Features may change, and the Service may be discontinued with reasonable notice.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, CoeCode shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. This includes, but is not limited to, missed quiet time enforcement, playback that was not paused as expected, or data loss. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service (which is $0 for the free tier).
You agree to indemnify and hold CoeCode harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service, violation of these terms, or infringement of any third-party rights.
We may update these terms from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will notify you by posting a notice on the site. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Montana, United States, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
If you have questions about these terms, contact us at [email protected].
